After more than a week of his defeat to Charles of Bronx, at UFC 309, Michael chandler continues to recover. The fighter reported that he is urinating blood due to the injuries suffered during the fight. Chandler used social media to show the damage left by the Brazilian.

In the video posted on Instagram Stories, Chandler highlights the severity of the swelling by pressing two fingers against his leg, leaving a mark that does not disappear immediately.

“Look at that knee. The swelling goes all the way down,” Chandler said.

Despite the injuries, Chandler was only given a 30-day suspension, with additional clearance from a medical specialist required. In addition, the American made another post, in which he offered an update on his health and shared his plans for the future.

“We’re going to the red light bed, the HyperMax, the ice bath, the contrast therapy, the sauna, the PEMF mat, we’re going to the hyperbaric chamber, we’re doing everything because the road to recovery started on Monday. I had my MRIs and all that stuff, and we’re getting the results back to see what kind of damage we’ve had, but either way, we’re not slowing down. Either way, we’re continuing to move forward,” Chandler said.

Plans for the future

Despite his current losing streak, Chandler believes that 2025 will be a crucial year for his UFC career. The American claims to have some big fights planned and has included a duel with Conor McGregor, which he has been waiting for for more than two years.

“The future is still bright. 2025 is going to be big. You know there are big fights out there. There’s a fight that hasn’t happened, but it needs to happen to finish The Ultimate Fighter 31. Other guys are calling my name, other guys are interested in the fight, and the fans are engaged because there’s no one else that brings this kind of passion, violence, speed, mix of emotions, the dichotomy of emotions, from one extreme to the other. The highs and the lows, keeping you on the edge of your seat, making you thank God that you bought the pay-per-view or showed up to the arena.
