McGregor's conviction
It is worth remembering that the conviction of Conor McGregor for sexual assault had a significant impact on the Irishman's career. In addition to the million-dollar compensation to the victim, the fighter lost important advertising contracts, such as the one with the “Hitman” game franchise.
A civil jury in Ireland found McGregor guilty of sexually assaulting a woman at a luxury Dublin hotel after a party in 2018. The victim, Nikita Hand, said she had been raped, beaten and threatened with death by the fighter.
