Jon Jones saw his social media post corrected after a misleading claim about his age. In a post on 'X' (formerly Twitter), 'Bones' claimed to be the oldest fighter with a belt in UFC history. The community, however, quickly corrected him and pointed out Alex Poatán, current light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg), holds the title of oldest fighter to hold a belt.

Jones tried to celebrate his exploits, but the internet was not forgiving of the small inaccuracy. The age difference between the two fighters is minimal, just 12 days, with Poatan being the older of the two.

The 'X' platform has a feature called 'Community Note', which allows users to correct incorrect information in posts. Users then used the tool to point out Jones' error, adding a comment below his post with the correct information.
