Rocky actor Stallone apologized after saying the fight between Tyson and Paul was a setup / Reproduction
Actor Sylvester Stallone has retracted comments he made about the recent fight between Mike Tyson e Jake Paul to have been set up. The star of the acclaimed 'Rocky' franchise was just one of thousands of people who suspected that the fight was rigged, due to the impression that 'Iron Mike' entered the ring with the 'handbrake on'. Paul, also known in boxing as 'El Gallo', defeated the legend live from the sport by unanimous decision after eight rounds.
Stallone has the authority to give his opinion. The media fight between Paul and Tyson was very reminiscent of the plot of the sixth film. 'Rocky Balboa', which marks the boxer's return to the ring, now elderly and retired. Right after the fight, the actor and screenwriter took to social media claiming that the 58-year-old boxing legend allowed Paul to win.

“Business is business. SOMETIMES you have to do the hard things and sacrifice yourself to help your FAMILY. I have known this incredible athlete since he was 19 and what we saw was him giving one of the greatest Oscar winning performances of all time!!!! Please Jake be grateful, HE SAVED YOUR LIFE!” Stallone wrote on the 'instagram'.
In his usual arrogant manner, Paul even went as far as to hit back at Stallone.
“I always looked up to you as a kid, but now you’re a spreader of lies against my name. It’s sad to see you fall. Maybe it’s all the plastic surgery,” Paul wrote.
A few days later, Stallone deleted his post and shared a new one.
“Just to make my personal record clear. After watching it a second time, the best man won that night. My apologies. Keep knocking.”
Controversy
Stallone's mea culpa won't change much. All the actor did was say the same thing that several other people watching the fight said. Speculation that the fight was rigged (see video below) aroused Paul's wrath, which hit back hard the criticism. The company Most Valuable Promotions, which has the YouTuber as a co-founder, even released a press release stating that there was no contractual clause preventing Tyson from using certain moves or knocking out Paul.
Is this proof the Tyson, Paul fight was rigged? Was Tyson pulling his punches? pic.twitter.com/YWOWlefXAy

No matter how old Tyson is, no matter how banged up his knees, hips and back are, fans are unwilling to admit that age has caught up with the former heavyweight champion.
