Kai Asakura may be a name little known to UFC audiences, but he has left his mark on Asian MMA, becoming Rizin champion and accumulating devastating knockouts throughout his career. Challenging Alexandre Pantoja for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg) at UFC 310 this Saturday (7), the Japanese fighter intends to extend his trail of destruction on the other side of the world.
In a statement to 'Countdown', on the UFC's official YouTube channel, Asakura promised a 'legendary' and 'one-hit' knockout over the Brazilian to become the new flyweight champion in his debut in the organization.

“It will be a shocking and surprising fight. I am confident that I can beat him with one punch. I want everyone to see that. My advantage over Pantoja is that I can finish him with just one punch. There are so many legendary knockouts that everyone remembers in UFC history. At UFC 310 , I will add another legendary moment to that list. I hope it all ends with just one punch,” said the challenger.
