Little by little, Belal Muhammad is starting to 'crawl' towards his return to the UFC octagon. The current welterweight champion (up to 77kg) is recovering from a serious bone infection that forced him to withdraw from his first title defense scheduled for UFC 310 , which takes place next Saturday (7), in Las Vegas. Because of what happened, the organization rescheduled the promising middleweight (up to 83,9kg) Ian Garry from the UFC Tampa fight card to face the Palestinian's opponent, Shavkat Rakhmonov.

In a post on Instagram, Belal told his fans that he is now cleared to return to training. However, the champion's self-confidence has been boosted for some time now. He took advantage of the post to take a swipe at Rakhmonov and Garry, whose winner is expected to challenge him for the belt early next year.
“We are officially cleared to start training again!!!! For the past six weeks, I have watched many tapes and studied these two guys and my official and unbiased analysis is that I break them both,” wrote the Palestinian fighter. (see below)
At 36 years old, Belal Muhammad is undefeated in his last 11 fights and won the welterweight title by defeating Leon Edwards at the main event of UFC 304 in July of this year.
