Alexandre pantoja won the flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg) by defeating Brandon Moreno No. UFC 290, in July 2023. After that, the Brazilian defended his title against Brandon royval e Steve Erceg. His next opponent, the debutant Kai Asakura, is a former Rizin champion and is usually very aggressive in his fights. The Japanese fighter promised that he will try to get a quick knockout against the champion.
