Considered one of Brazil's top prospects in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg), Jean Silva already knows when and against whom he will fight in his next octagon appearance. According to information initially released by 'Ag Fight', the Santa Catarina native will face Armenian Melsik Baghdasaryan in an event on February 22nd, with the location still undefined, but likely to take place in Seattle, United States.
A protégé of 'Fighting Nerds', an academy that has been making a name for itself within the UFC, Jean Silva was signed through the Contender Series in 2023 and already has three wins in three fights in the organization, all by knockout. The Santa Catarina native gained even more prominence by knocking out Charles Jourdain , in the featherweight division, and Drew Dober , in the lightweight division, within a two-week window between the end of June and the beginning of July.

Also signed through the Contender Series in 2020, the Armenian has already had four fights in the organization, with three wins and one loss, and is coming off a victory over Tucker Lutz in July 2023.
The duel between Jean Silva and Melsik Baghdasaryan is the sixth confirmed for the event on February 22nd, which also features Brazilians Ketlen Vieira and Edson Barboza.
