The future of the UFC in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg) remains uncertain, but a possible battle between Jon Jones e Tom aspinall presents itself as one of the biggest challenges. Brandon Gibson, 'Bones' coach, addressed the possible difficulties that the British fighter could encounter in a confrontation with the current champion of the division.

On SiriusXM's 'MMA Today' show, Gibson didn't mince words when highlighting that the short length of Aspinall's fights could be a negative factor for the Brit.

“Jon excels at prolonging fights and wearing down his opponents. He is a master at taking his opponents into the fourth and fifth rounds, something he has done to perfection against the big names. Aspinall may be a talented opponent, but Jon has the experience of being a champion and knows exactly what to do in those critical moments.”

At 36, Jon Jones is widely recognized as one of the greatest fighters in MMA history. With a record of 28 wins, one loss and one 'no result', 'Bones' made history as the biggest name in the light heavyweight division, moved up a division and also defended the belt in his current division.
