Dana White made a point of clarifying, in a forceful manner, rumors that pointed to a possible fight between Jon Jones e Francis Ngannou. In a post on social media, the UFC president got straight to the point, denied any possibility of the fight taking place and reinforced Tom aspinall as the next challenger in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg) in his organization.
“Absolutely NOT true. Jon vs Tom,” wrote Dana, who has a feud with Ngannou.

The controversy began to gain momentum after the announcement of Jon Jones that he would move to the heavyweight category. At that time, Francis Ngannou was still the division champion, which raised expectations that the two octagon giants could finally face each other. However, Ngannou's departure from the UFC and his joining the PFL, where he won the belt, ended any possibility of a confrontation between the two.
With his direct style, Dana White has shown that he is not interested in speculation about a fight involving another organization, especially with competition from the PFL.
As the leader of the UFC, he has reinforced that the company does not intend to participate in co-promotions, making it clear that, despite the growing financial and sporting success of the PFL, the UFC will not change its stance on fights involving fighters from other entities.
With that, the expectation now falls on the future of Jon Jones in the UFC, with the most likely name to face the heavyweight champion being Tom aspinall.
