The PFL's purchase of Bellator has clearly not been a win-win deal for all athletes. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the American, who is the current Bellator bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg), complained about the delay by the company's executives in scheduling his next fight.

“My manager told me to wait, but I haven’t heard anything from PFL/Donn Davis. If you’re not going to let me fight, please release me from my contract. That’s not what I want, but if it’s not important for the company to have multiple champions, then let me go respectfully,” said Mix, who last fought in May of this year, in a victory against Russian Magomed Magomedov.

The fighter was expected to defend his title against the Brazilian Leandro Higo in the main fight of Bellator Paris, in November. However, the event ended up not happening. In addition to Mix, Corey anderson, light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg.) was another to complain about the inactivity. So far, the PFL group has not commented on the situation publicly.
