After a long period of recovery, the former UFC featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg), Alexander Volkanovsky, is focused on his return to the octagon in 2025. Through a post on Instagram, the Australian, who dominated the division until the beginning of this year, hinted that he may be close to returning to competition.

Although he didn't give many details about his future plans, it's natural to imagine that the fighter is eager to return to the sport. A professional since 2012, Volkanovski has always prided himself on being an active athlete. His second loss to Islam makhachev, in fact, it was a fight accepted at short notice, right after an injury to Charles of the Bronx before the UFC 294.

Return is expected for UFC 312

Although an official announcement has not yet been made by the company, it is speculated that the most likely date for the fighter's return is UFC 312, February 8th. The event will be held in Sydney, where Volkanovski is very popular. So far, only three fights have been scheduled for the card

Volkanovski, who reigned in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg.) for years, has suffered two knockout losses in his most recent career: the first to Islam makhachev, in a fight that was worth the lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg), and the second against Ilia Topuria in February, when he lost the title.
