The moment that marked the first face-off between the Brazilian and the Japanese challenger, where both remained serious, with an intense handshake, which reflected the growing rivalry between them. Pantoja, 34, is preparing for his third title defense after a remarkable run within the organization. With a record of 28 wins and five losses, he comes into the fight with six consecutive victories, which further solidifies his status as one of the best in the 56,7-pound category.
