“It happens. It was the first time it happened to me, but I’m very focused on myself. What he does doesn’t matter. I think he has to worry about his next fight and, who knows, if he wins, he might get a second chance to fight me,” replied the Brazilian.

As for the next step, Alex Poatán expressed interest in returning to the octagon between the end of March and the beginning of April 2025. The Brazilian confirmed that the trend is that Magomed Ankalayev is next in line, but he has assured that he will make things as difficult for the Russian as he can.
