Kron Gracie failed to repeat the success of his predecessors from the legendary family in the UFC. The Brazilian, who is the only representative of the dynasty in the event, adopted a daring strategy during his fight against Bryce Mitchell , but paid a high price. The fight, valid for the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg), took place at UFC 310 , held this Saturday (7), and ended with a brutal victory for the American by technical knockout in the third round.
With this defeat, Gracie accumulates his third consecutive setback and sees his UFC record drop to five wins and three losses.

From the beginning, Gracie's plan was clear: to seek the fight on the ground. Throughout the first two rounds, Kron, true to his Jiu-Jitsu style, pulled guard several times, calling Mitchell to exchange positions on the ground. However, the strategy ended up not being effective. After being taken down, Mitchell quickly established a dominant position, but Gracie continued to try, bravely, to seek a submission.
The fight was lukewarm, with no major moments of action, especially in the second round, where both fighters exchanged little intensity. Mitchell, more precise and technical in his striking, began to control the action on his feet, and Gracie, looking for a transition to the ground, ended up being caught by hard blows, such as a well-aimed uppercut that made the Brazilian feel it.
Even so, Kron still had one last attempt to recover, applying a beautiful arm strike that almost resulted in a submission. Mitchell, however, showed calm and managed to defend himself, preventing the Gracie family fighter from making his trademark move.
In the third round, Gracie's confidence was once again put to the test. The Brazilian, attempting to enforce his guard strategy, was surprised by a series of powerful elbows from Mitchell, which brutally struck the Brazilian's face. The last of these elbows knocked Kron Gracie unconscious in the octagon, ending the fight and awarding Bryce Mitchell a technical knockout victory.
