In the post- UFC 310 press conference , Pantoja praised Kai Kara-France and highlighted his desire to face him, but stressed that he is not the one who decides the fights. The Brazilian made it clear that he is willing to fight any opponent, anywhere in the world, and even mentioned the heavyweight champion to illustrate his confidence in his abilities.

“Like I said, Kai Kara-France is a great fighter. He’s someone I want to fight, of course. But, since I’m not the matchmaker, I’m here, give me the name, give me the time, and I’ll fight any guy around the world. Give me Jon Jones , give me some time. That’s what I want, I want to be the best weight class in the division, you know, and the UFC gave me that opportunity. They gave me the chance to show the world how good I am,” said Pantoja.

Pantoja and Kara-France have already faced each other during the quarterfinals of the 24th season of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter. On that occasion, the Brazilian won by unanimous decision.
