After being convicted in civil court for rape, Conor McGregor continues to try to change public opinion. This Friday (13), the biggest star in the organization's history shared in her stories the link to a report in which an alleged rape victim admitted to having invented the accusation, 18 years after her attacker was arrested.

In addition to the news, the fighter also wrote that the situation represented an 'epidemic of diseases', making a clear comparison with his own case. After being convicted at the end of November, the Irishman stated his interest in appealing the decision. The case refers to an accusation from December 2018, in which the fighter allegedly raped Nikita Hand in a Dublin hotel.

McGregor was ordered to pay €250,000 (more than R$1,5 million at the current exchange rate) in compensation to Hand. As this is a civil case, the fighter does not face any risk of prison.
