Daniel Marcos achieved an important victory by defeating Adrian Yanez by split decision of the judges for his invincibility in the octagon. The fight had moments of balance, but the Peruvian proved to be more technical and effective in a clash valid for the bantamweight division (up to 65,7 kg) in UFC Tampa this Saturday (14). After the positive result, the fighter took the opportunity to challenge José Aldo.

The fight started at a fast pace, with Yanez trying to impose his volume of blows, but Marcos proved to be more precise and efficient in his actions. Despite an incident with a finger in the eye and a low kick that interrupted the flow of the fight, the Peruvian remained focused and continued with his strategy, taking advantage of his opponent's mistakes.

In the second round, the fight continued to be very close, with both fighters exchanging blows intensely. Yanez managed to land a well-executed left cross, which threw Marcos off balance, but the Peruvian recovered quickly and remained in control of the fight.

The third round followed the tone of the fight, with both fighters exchanging open blows, but Marcos was more effective and, at the end of the round, managed to take Yanez to the ground. Although he did not work the transitions as fluidly, the Peruvian focused on being precise and controlled the time, trying to do enough to secure the victory.

After the fight, the Peruvian showed himself willing to face the icon José Aldo. In a post-event interview, Periano took advantage of the microphone to challenge the former featherweight champion and legend (up to 65,7 kg).

"José Aldo, I'm ready for you. Whenever you want. I'm ready for this great opportunity,” Marcos declared in a post-fight interview.
