Things definitely don't seem to be going well in the PFL/Bellator group. According to the current Bellator light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg.), Corey anderson, his fight with Vadim nemkov, which would take place in the heavyweight category (up to 120,2 kg.) was canceled. The two were scheduled to face each other on January 25, as part of the organization's first event in history in Dubai.

According to the fighter, who was part of the UFC between 2014 and 2020, the cancellation was caused by the opponent and not by contractual or bureaucratic problems.

“Last minute announcement, guys. The trilogy is not happening. I woke up to a text this morning from PFL and Bellator saying, ‘Vadim refuses to fight you.’ It’s a tough fight for him, as he says. But he wants to stay on the card and fight a lesser opponent. How do you call yourself the #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the organization, but you’re scared to fight someone you’ve already fought twice with seven weeks’ notice. Anyway, you all know me. I’m ready,” the fighter said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) last Saturday (14).

Originally, Nemkov was going to fight with Before Delija, but the fight fell through and Anderson stepped in as a replacement. This would be the third confrontation between the two. The first fight ended in a draw after a clash of heads. In the second, the Russian won by unanimous decision. Despite the American's statement, the company has yet to make a public statement on the matter and the fight has not been officially canceled.

PFL is facing difficulties
