A scene that ended up on social media 'broke' the internet this Tuesday (17). A boy choking in the middle of the crowd that was watching the UFC Tampa card , last Saturday (14), in the USA. What is most striking is that the father who was next to him didn't even notice what was happening to his son when the camera panned across the audience.
The incident occurred during the fight between veteran Michael Johnson and Moroccan Ottman Azaitar in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg) on the preliminary card. After a heated exchange of blows, 'Menace' was quicker and landed a cross that knocked his opponent unconscious in the cage.

During the replay of the brutal knockout, the UFC live stream camera panned across the audience when, suddenly, a boy appeared choking, clutching his chest. His father, who was standing nearby with a bag of popcorn (perhaps the reason for the choking), didn't even notice the situation because he was watching the replay on the big screen. (see the scene below)
The unusual (and tense) incident generated several comments on social media, many concerned about the child's health. Some even criticized the father's lack of attention.
There were no reports of medical assistance being provided to the public at UFC Tampa.
But there are always the funny ones
However, many memes were created after the video went viral. Check out some of the phrases that went viral on social media below:
"I can always have another child. UFC Tampa , though? Once in a lifetime!"
“Children will do anything to get attention.”
“Choking on a drink while the crowd chants “USA” at a UFC fight is what America looks like in 2024.”
" Michael Johnson received two bodies that night."
“Such a selfish boy, trying to steal Menace’s moment.”
“Lol that's because his dad knows he's a troll. He looked straight at the camera lol.”
Michael Johnson
With this result, Johnson, who has been fighting in the UFC since 2010, reached his 24th career victory. The 38-year-old veteran has previously defeated names like Dustin Poirier and Edson Barboza.
