Conor McGregor made headlines again when he announced his return to combat sports in an alleged boxing exhibition with Logan Paul. Now, the biggest star in the history of MMA has made the rumors even stronger by publicly challenging the YouTuber through a post on X (formerly Twitter) this Thursday (19).
“TKO Group! UFC vs WWE. There are levels to this, a big sloppy rookie (Logan Paul) is going to find out! TITLE OF KING OF TKO. I hold all the records and I'm coming back to knock out this rookie and rack up more numbers for the company,” says the publication, which amid several hashtags, also claims that the fight will generate the biggest payday of the Irishman's career.

With the purchase of WWE by Endeavor (the company that owns UFC) in September 2023, the two organizations merged into a larger company, called TKO. In this way, Conor McGregor and Logan Paul have active contracts in the same venture, as the older brother of Jake Paul became a wrestler in 2021. For the Canadian reporter Ariel Helwani, for example, this factor makes combat feasible.

Conor McGregor is the highest paid fighter in history
The first fighter to hold UFC belts in two weight classes simultaneously, McGregor has the highest package sales pay per view in the history of the sport, and is also the highest-paid athlete in all of MMA. In boxing, it is estimated that the Irishman received more than US$30 million (more than R$183 million at the current exchange rate) for the fight with Floyd Maywwather Jr. in 2017.
