Talking to his fans on his YouTube channel, 'Chaos' took the pains of Chael Sonnen and criticized the attitude Gilbert Durinho for leaking the phone number of his longtime friend. The story goes like this: Sonnen, who was Covington's primary trainer in the last fight, made a statement discussing the possibilities for Joaquin buckley after the UFC Tampa. For Chael, a fight between the 'Knockout Man' and Durinho would be interesting, but he insinuated that the Brazilian was retired because he hadn't been fighting. Irritated by the 'American Gangster's' statement, Gilbert gave a harsh response and, in addition, leaked the phone number from Sonnen, who started receiving several calls from haters.

When asked what he thought of this situation, Colby fired back.

“Man, this is disgusting, man. This is despicable. This is not right, man. This is really messed up. Now he’s getting, you know, tons of people calling him with stupid shit, you know, saying stupid pranks, and it’s just, it’s a safety concern. So Gilbert, this was really immature. This is high school, man? Like, be a grown man, man. You have kids, you have a family. Why would you do this to another family, man? So, it’s really messed up that Gilbert did this to Uncle Chael,” ‘Chaos’ stated. (see video below)

Colby even threatened Durinho, saying he intends to take justice into his own hands inside the octagon against the Brazilian.

“Uncle Chael, if you want me to take care of this inside the octagon, I will bring justice for us, I will bring justice to Gilbert’s face. I will make sure he never shows up in America again, because I beat him badly,” he concluded, exalted.

However, Sonnen made lemonade out of lemons. After Gilbert Durinho leaking his phone number on 'X' (formerly Twitter), Chael went to his YouTube channel and answered a session of questions from fans for almost an hour – including an announcement of his sponsor. The exchange of barbs between Sonnen and Durinho is nothing new for those who follow MMA closely. The former fighter has always been known for his provocations, especially when the subject involved Brazilian fighters, with whom he had a rivalry built over the years.

It's not true when Sonnen says that Durinho hasn't been fighting, as he has had two fights this year for the UFC. However, the 'American Gangster' probably 'suggested' the Brazilian's retirement due to his current poor form. Durinho has lost his last three fights against the champion. Belal Muhammad |, Jack Della Maddalena e Sean brady, respectively. In the UFC since 2014, the Brazilian has a record of 22 wins and eight losses.
