Francis Ngannou downplays possibility of facing Jon Jones and mentions fight he really wants

With Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones as heavyweight champions (up to 120,2 kg) of the world's biggest MMA organizations, many fans dream of a duel between the two athletes. However, the Cameroonian is tired of being asked about a possible fight against the UFC champion. Although he doesn't rule out the possibility, the PFL champion revealed that he no longer spends energy thinking about that confrontation.

In an interview with Seconds Out, Ngannou expressed frustration at still being asked about a fight with Jones. The Cameroonian said he has talked about the subject for years and made it clear that he no longer cares about the possibility, reinforcing that, if it never happens, it will not be a problem for him.

“I’ve been talking about this for four years, and it baffles me that people keep asking me this question. It’s been four years! It’s not my problem anymore, I don’t care about it anymore. If it happens, great, if it doesn’t, screw it,” said the PFL heavyweight champion.

Ngannou prioritizes rematch with Tyson Fury and rules out new confrontation with Anthony Joshua

It's still unclear what Ngannou's next fight will be, but the Cameroonian has made it clear that his priority is a rematch against Tyson Fury , while a new confrontation with Anthony Joshua doesn't motivate him as much. He revealed that he felt uncomfortable in the fight against Joshua and hinted that something was wrong with the event. If the same conditions repeat themselves, he has no interest in facing him again.

“What I know for sure is that I want a rematch with Fury. The rematch against Joshua, honestly, I felt very uncomfortable in that fight. It’s definitely something that could happen, but… I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I didn’t like the fight against Joshua. I think things weren’t right. Nothing was right. And if it’s going to be the same scenario, I’m not interested,” concluded Francis Ngannou.

After relinquishing his UFC title, Francis Ngannou ventured into boxing, where he was defeated twice. His return to MMA occurred in a Superfight for the PFL heavyweight title against Renan Problema , which the Cameroonian won by knockout in the first round.
