The arrival of a new year seems to be bringing new habits for Sean O'Malley, who is recovering from surgery after losing the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg) to Merab Dvalishvilli at UFC 306. Known for his content and interactions with fans through digital platforms, the American promised to leave the virtual world aside and stay focused on training for the next fight.

In publication in the stories On his personal Instagram this Friday (20), the fighter announced his decision to delete all social networks from his cell phone, however he guaranteed that the content will continue to be published.
“In 2025, I will delete all my social media from my phone until my next fight. My team will manage my social media. We will still make content, but I just need a detox from my phone. I will focus on reaching my full potential as an athlete and a father,” the announcement read.

Since being dominated by Dvalishvilli, O'Malley has been vocal about his desire to return to the top spot in the division. However, it has not yet been announced who the fighter's next opponent will be.
