Without winning since March 2022, the career of Colby covington is far from keeping up with his controversial personality. Known for being one of the most controversial fighters in the UFC, the American suffered his second consecutive defeat when he was surpassed by Joaquin Buckley No. UFC Tampa. The former fighter and commentator Daniel Cormier raised the question of how 'Chaos' will manage to stay relevant without good results.
In an interview with MMA Junkie, the former UFC champion acknowledged that Covington will likely win another UFC fight, but worries about how he will handle the backlash against his controversial character now that he's on a losing streak.

“I think he’ll win another UFC fight at some point. I just worry or wonder how he’s going to deal with the backlash to his character right now. The character works well when you’re winning, but you have to deal with a lot of haters when things go wrong. I think that’s going to determine how Colby bounces back when he gets back in the Octagon,” Cormier said.
Although he has lost three of his last four fights, Colby covington has been involved in several major fights and title fights over the past seven years. The American has failed to win the UFC title in three attempts, two against Kamaru Usman and, more recently, against Leon edwards last December.
