There are nine days left until 2024 leaves the scene and gives way to a 2025 full of expectations, at least in the UFC. Throughout the year, new champions emerged and others managed to keep the belt on their shelves. And of course, the performance of each of them also influenced the number of followers on social media.

Which champion has the most followers? Which one has the fewest? Who had the biggest increase in fans throughout 2024? SUPER LUTAS brings you the list with data from 'Instagram' and also from 'X' (formerly Twitter).

On Meta's social media platform, heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg) Jon Jones leads with 9,537 million followers. 'Bones', who defended his title against Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 , gained 1,347 million new fans compared to 2023. Next is lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) Islam Makhachev with 9,106 million (one million more than last year), and in third place is featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) Ilia Topuria with 6,212 million, who saw the biggest increase in followers in a year (four million more just the day before his title fight against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 ). At least on social media, the Georgian-Spanish fighter narrowly beat Alex Poatan . The Brazilian light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg), voted the best fighter of the year, appears in fourth place with 6,122 million followers (3,997 million more than last year).

The UFC champion with the fewest followers on Instagram is flyweight (up to 56,7kg) Alexandre Pantoja , with 333,6 followers (99,8 more than in 2023).

In the 'X' category, Jon Jones remains in the lead, but with a large advantage over the other champions. He has 3,041 million fans, but only 111,000 new followers since last year. Even losing followers, the women's flyweight (up to 56,7kg) and pound-for-pound champion, Valentina Shevchenko , appears in second place with 894,600 followers (losing 6,000 in the last year), followed by Islam Makhachev with 655,300 followers (146,000 more in the last year).

Ilia Topuria was once again the champion with the most followers in a year. 'El Matador' has a total of 309 followers, 188 of which were gained in 2024 alone. Alexandre Pantoja is again at the bottom of the list, with 10,6 followers (1,8 in the last year).
