The president of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship – BKFC – has announced a $25 million tournament (almost R$154 million at the current exchange rate) for next year. The news of the organization's million-dollar promotion came last Saturday (21), at a post-fight press conference at BKFC Hollywood.

“We’re going to have the biggest, most hyped fighting tournament ever. It’s going to start in April. It’s going to be the most hyped tournament in the world, worth $25 million,” said David Felman.

Without revealing exactly how the money will be distributed, Felman gave details of the competition's planning and revealed that the bare-knuckle boxing contest will travel the world.

“It will be spread out over nine to 12 months. There will be testing, qualifying rounds and those qualifying rounds will happen on five different continents,” he said.

The North American bare-knuckle boxing organization has grown rapidly. Founded in 2018, it is expected to reach impressive prize money figures if the president's prediction is confirmed. BKFC has branched out into several countries with some branches coordinated by notable fighters. Last year, it was announced that Conor McGregor became a partial owner of the company.

Despite the promotion having several notable names on its roster, such as former UFC fighters Mike Perry, Eddie Alvarez and Jeremy Stephens, president David Feldman said all fighters will have to audition. No fighter will be guaranteed a spot in the 2025 million-dollar tournament.
