In response to a post by the Irishman last Saturday (21), the former Bellator lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) maintained the discourse adopted after the fight against Charles do Bronx at UFC 309 , and thus issued another challenge to his rival.

The fight between the two was announced in early 2023, when both were cast as coaches for the 31st season of The Ultimate Fighter. Subsequently, the fight was scheduled for UFC 303. However, the fight was canceled after the Irishman fractured a toe.
In total, Michael Chandler waited for more than two years for Conor McGregor . After a period of negotiations, the American ended up facing Charles do Bronx for the second time, being defeated by unanimous decision.
Conor McGregor hasn't fought in years
Despite being the most famous name in MMA history, McGregor has been away from the octagon since July 2021, when he was defeated by Dustin Poirier . On that occasion, he fractured his left leg in a manner similar to Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman . More recently, he was convicted in a civil lawsuit for rape, which allegedly occurred in 2018 at a hotel in Dublin.
