Two 'Alex's' susceptible to last-minute challenges face to face in the octagon... a fight between Poatan and Volkanovski has already been imagined by the Australian. When answering questions from fans on the internet, 'The Great' stated that he would fight the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg.) on one condition: a fair price.

“Is the price fair? I will do it, I would do it… I’m a confident guy, but I’m not going to give that guy a break, let’s be realistic… I would do anything in the hopes of getting a takedown. Because if you don’t get it [against him], you’re going to get hurt. That’s for sure,” Volkanovski replied.
The weight of distance
Playing around with online fights by setting up fans isn't new and is a good way to gauge how athletes view each other. But a duel between Alex Poatan and Volkanovski has a considerable weight class difference. Although he competes in other divisions, the Australian is the undisputed number one in the featherweight rankings (up to 65,7kg), led by Ilia Topuria . Alex Poatan , on the other hand , holds the belt in – no less than – four divisions above, the light heavyweight division. Not to mention that the Brazilian aims to move up another step and become a heavyweight (up to 120,2kg)...
