The journey to becoming the recognized fighter he is today was not easy for Caio Borralho. The man from Maranhão had to give up the most important thing, according to him: his family. In an exclusive interview with SUPER FIGHTS, in the podcast 'It's Time!', the middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) told us how it was to prepare to make a living from fighting and the most difficult moment: making emblematic decisions to face the Contender Series twice.

“I had to abandon my family, abandon watching my grandparents grow old, my younger brothers grow up, it was a choice, right? I had to abandon that, you know? When I lived in São Luís, I had a very peaceful life. I taught math and chemistry, I taught judo, I surfed, I went to college at the federal university, in the industrial chemistry course.” he said. During the podcast of SUPER FIGHTS, the fighter remembered everything he had to give up to invest in his dream.
“When the opportunity came to go to São Paulo, to train with Demian, to pursue this dream, which was a new dream for me, but I knew I had to do something to pursue it, that’s when I decided. Ten years ago, I gave up everything, all of that, college, I didn’t graduate there, the money I received to teach math and chemistry, I gave it up for my car that I had just won… so, I gave up everything, but especially my family.” he recalled.
