Things have heated up for Paulo Borrachinha in the UFC. The Brazilian, who isn't having his best moment inside the octagon, now has a new rival in Ikram Aliskerov who, besides being focused on his next fight against André Sergipano , is already eyeing a future fight against the fighter from Minas Gerais. And all this because of a provocation on Twitter.
The story began when Borrachinha, apparently jokingly, made a post involving Aliskerov's image through 'Grok AI', the artificial intelligence tool from xAI, Elon Musk's company. The joke, however, did not go down well with the Russian, who quickly reacted with a very direct message to the Brazilian on his official X account (formerly Twitter).

“When the UFC offered you a fight with me, you said you didn’t even know my name. Now, you’re on a five-fight winning streak and posting stupid pictures to get attention. I have unfinished business on February 1st. After that, I’m ready to ask the UFC for your head on a plate,” he retorted.
Borrachinha's string of negative results is one of the most striking aspects of this rivalry. With losses to Robert Whittaker and Sean Strickland in 2023, the Brazilian saw his status as one of the top names in the middleweight division (83,9kg) plummet.
A potential fight between the two isn't exactly new. The bout almost happened in July 2023, but was cancelled because they were scheduled to face Khamzat Chimaev and Robert Whittaker , respectively.
