Christmas 2024 brought to Alex Poatán a break from the tensions of the UFC to celebrate with his family. But, like any good fighter, he couldn't help but share a bit of his universe with his followers, even if in a lighter way. And it was like this, between laughter and affection, that the Brazilian showed a very special moment: on the floor of his house, the current light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) was seen practicing jiu-jitsu with his son, Lohan Vidal Silva.
In the video shared on social media, Poatan, wearing his T-shirt with the slogan 'Flame' and a reference to the 'stone statue', accompanied his son in a typical training 'roll'. He also made a post in which he thanked his fans for their affection.

“Hi everyone, Merry Christmas to all of you. I appreciate all the support you’ve been giving me. It’s very important. I’m with my children on this very special night. Let’s celebrate this great day, okay guys? Call me,” he said.
Poatan's story in 2024 is worthy of an action movie. In April, when the UFC 300 needed a strong protagonist, the Brazilian agreed to face Jamahal hill.
Shortly after, in the UFC 303, he accepted the challenging mission of replacing Conor McGregor and defend his belt against Jiri Prochazka on the 'International Day of Struggle'.
To top it off, he was cast in the UFC 307, in Salt Lake City, where he came face to face with Khalil rountree Jr. Won them all by knockout.
