UFC Vegas 101 official poster released with Brazilians as the event's protagonists

The UFC year will begin on the second Saturday of 2025. With Brazilians in the spotlight. On January 11th, Mackenzie dern e Amanda ribas face each other in the main event of UFC Vegas 101. The fight will be in the strawweight category (up to 52,1 kg). The official poster for the event highlights only the two Brazilians.

The duel is a rematch for the dual nationality fighter Mackenzie dern. She and Amanda first clashed in October 2019. The two stepped into the octagon in UFC Fight Night 161, with Ribas from Minas Gerais taking home a unanimous decision victory after three rounds.

Although she was born in Phoenix, United States, Mackenzie holds Brazilian nationality because she grew up traveling between the state of Arizona and Brazil, her father's homeland. The athlete is fluent in English and Portuguese. The fighter has a professional record of 19 fights, with 14 wins and five losses.

Amanda ribas comes from defeat Rose namajunas by unanimous decision after a five-round duel in March of this year. The strawweight's record is 13 wins and five losses.
