Carlos Prates is set to face Leon Edwards in the octagon. At least that's what a recent post by the Brazilian on Instagram suggests. It only took an American profile posting a photo suggesting a fight between the two for 'The Nightmare' to share the image along with the 'coming soon' emoji.

The Brazilian is on a roll. Since securing his spot in the UFC through the Contender Series, he has strung together three consecutive victories, all by knockout. In his last fight, he defeated Neil Magny in the first round.

He had reportedly received an offer to fight Vicente Luque . Luque's fight against Nick Diaz was cancelled, and without Prates, Luque's opponent was Themba Gorimbo . The Zimbabwean fighter was defeated by submission.
Later, 'The Nightmare' received an offer to fight Shavkat Rakhomonov. The Kazakh was scheduled to fight for the welterweight title (up to 77kg) against Belal Muhammad , but the champion was removed from the card due to an injury. In the end, the opponent was Ian Garry , who was defeated by decision.
Vicente Luque opened the door to facing his compatriot after his victory in Las Vegas.
