After showing fans the construction of a new social institute in his city, São Bernardo do Campo, and the donation of a thousand of basic food baskets, the MMA star resurfaces with a video where he pays the supermarket bills of several people. Poatan last appeared in the octagon on March 8, at UFC 313, when he lost the belt to Magomed Ankalayev in a unanimous decision.

In a video published on Tuesday (8), the fighter shows, among other acts of solidarity, surprise approaches to strangers in the checkout line at a supermarket. Poatan appears paying the bill for at least ten people. Many were moved and all were overflowing with gratitude.
“I was telling her that poor people don’t have a day of peace. It’s here! It’s going to help a lot because this month has been tough. A lot of (bad) things have happened this month,” said one of the people helped by the UFC athlete.
“Now we’re going to the supermarket. We’re going to bless the lives of some families who are shopping. I saw this in a video on the internet, I don’t remember who did it… And since I’m in the food project, (…) I want to see people who are in a more complicated situation and we’re going to try to bless them with the value of the purchases,” he explained.
