Former opponent of Diego Lopes plans fight with Patrício Pitbull in UFC

Known for accepting combat with Diego lopes with a few hours notice in the UFC 303, Dan Ige broke a streak of negative results by knocking out Sean Woodson last Saturday (12). With the triumph, the American has another Brazilian on the radar: Patrick Pitbull. The former Bellator lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) also made his Ultimate debut last week, with defeat to Yair Rodriguez.

In an interview with reporter Dan Tom, from the Home of Fight portal, Ige detailed his intentions to measure forces with Pitbull

“I like this fight. He’s an absolute legend. Not from a ranking perspective, because I don’t think he’ll be ranked after his last fight, but for the legacy. Styles make fights. He and I are very similar in stature and it would be a war,” he said.

Dan Ige has almost 20 UFC fights

At 33, Dan Ige has been part of the Ultimate since 2018. Since then, he has had 19 fights in the organization, with 11 wins and eight losses. He is currently ranked 14th in the featherweight category (up to 65,7 kg). Throughout his career, he has faced names of the level of Movsar Evloev, Edson Barboza e Bryce mitchell.
