the return of Vincent Luque to the octagon already has a date, location and opponent defined. After an important victory over Themba Gorimbo No. UFC 310, in December 2024, the Brazilian welterweight (up to 77,1 kg) returns to action and faces Kevin holland No. UFC 316, an event that will take place on June 7th, at the Prudential Center, in Newark, New Jersey, in the United States. The fight was confirmed by Ultimate through social media.
In the UFC since 2015, Vincent Luque was a long-time member of the top 15 welterweights. In recent years, however, the Brazilian has been on a tear, with three losses in four fights and falling out of the category rankings. In December of last year, the 'Silent Assassin' bounced back with a brutal submission over Themba Gorimbo and is now looking for a second consecutive victory to, at 33 years of age, show that he still has fuel left in the division.

On the other side, Kevin holland makes his third appearance in 2025. At 32 years old and in the UFC since 2018, the American stands out as one of the most active athletes in the history of the organization and also arrives for the duel motivated by a victory, against Gunnar nelson, at UFC London, in March. Before that, the American had suffered four defeats in his previous five fights.
With Vincent Luque e Kevin holland on the card, the UFC 316 takes place on June 7th and is led by two title fights. In the main fight, Merab Dvalishvili defends the bantamweight title (up to 61,2 kg) in a rematch against Sean O'Malley, while, in the co-main event, Julianna Pena puts the women's bantamweight belt on the line against Kayla harrison.
