UFC phenomenon and member of the feared Fighting Nerds group, Jean Silva revealed an internal dispute between team members to define who causes the most damage to opponents in the UFC octagon. The Brazilian stated that he leads the competition alongside Carlos Prates.
“It even creates a competition to see who wins the most, from the team, by hurting others, right? I believe that me and Carlos Prates we are ahead,” Jean said in an interview with the 'Jaxxon Podcast'.

The healthy rivalry between Jean Silva e Carlos Prates is not accidental. Both fighters have all their fights finished on the fast track by the organization. The 'Nightmare', in fact, leads the UFC Kansas City before Ian Gary next Saturday (26).
The duo embodies the philosophy of coach Pablo Sucupira, founder of the group, who prioritizes 'aggressive intelligence' as a differentiator. The focus on hard-hitting strikes paid off. In 2024, the team won Performance of the Night awards in most of their fights, with bonuses that exceeded US$500.
Despite the playful tone, the internal competition follows strict criteria. Sucupira, a former Muay Thai fighter who left a career in marketing to found Combat Club (where Nerds originated), structured a system that combines data analysis and fighting IQ linked to the characteristics of the fighters. Caio Borralho and Maurício Ruffy are two other highlights of the academy.
