Mike Tyson is certainly one of the strongest names in world sport. The living legend of boxing has collected titles and controversies over the years in and out of the ring. After a long hiatus, his last fight was against the 'Problem Boy' Jake Paul, in November of last year, in a performance that was controversial, with many thinking that the fight was rigged. Tyson was considered the loser in the judges' decision.

But when he was at his peak in the 1990s, 'Iron Mike' kept many fans awake at night. And it wasn't because of his title as the 'most feared man on the planet', but because of the time difference, like in Brazil. Anyone who wanted to watch Tyson's fights had to stay up all night. And they often ended in the first round, with a devastating knockout by the boxing legend.

But it wasn't just Brazilians who were going through this situation. Another legend of combat sports, but from MMA, recently confronted Tyson: the former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Russian from the Republic of Dagestan participated in the podcast 'Hotboxin with Mike Tyson' where he revealed that he was 'upset' by a fight the boxer had in 2003.

The fight was against Clifford Etienne in Memphis (USA) and was broadcast live in the early hours of the morning in Russia. Khabib asked his father, Abdulmanap, to wake him up so he could watch the fight.

“You made me a little upset. I remember on February 23, 2003, you were supposed to fight Clifford Etienne, and it was about XNUMX a.m. Moscow time. I said to my dad, ‘Please, can you wake me up? I really want to watch this fight.’ You knocked him out in the first round. I was waiting for that all night,” Khabib laughed along with Tyson.
