The UFC's heavyweight division (up to 120,2 lbs.) has been the target of criticism lately. Even though it is headed by the organization's GOAT, Jon Jones, the New Yorker is close to retirement and has been in talks for a title unification fight against the interim champion, Tom aspinall, leaving the division's 'rotation' slow. In addition, few athletes are part of the UFC's top category, including the Brazilian Tallison Teixeira entering the top 15 with just one fight in the organization.
Because one of the most charismatic fighters in the UFC also believes that the heavyweight division is lacking good athletes. The Australian Tai tuivasa, known for his 'Shoey' (habit of drinking beer from his shoe) thinks the category needs to get spicier.

Tai is on a horrific five-fight losing streak in the organization to Cyryl Gane, Sergei Pavlovich, Alexander Volkov, Marcin tybura e Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Despite this, the Australian remains in the top 10 of the division. Even though he doesn't seem to be the right messenger for this, Tuivasa doesn't hide the fact that the category needs stronger names.
“I’ve definitely been thinking about it a lot since I took this time off. I don’t watch every fight, but I watch some of it. The heavyweights are s***. They’re all s*** except for Jon Jones e Tom aspinall. Other than that, everyone is very ordinary,” Tai explained in an interview with journalist Ariel Helwani this Wednesday (23). (see below)
“It's definitely been something I've been thinking about a lot since I've been having this time off… The heavyweights are shit. They're all shit, except for Jon Jones and Tom aspinall. Other than that, fucking everyone's pretty standard.”

The Australian fighter also spoke about when he intends to return to the octagon. However, he will have to work hard to do so. adapt to weight correct for the UFC's top weight class, as he currently weighs 145kg.
“I plan to [return] at the beginning of next year. I need to get back to the gym, I need to get in shape,” said Tai.
Known as 'Bam Bam', Tai tuivasa has a record of 15 wins (14 by knockout) and eight losses in his career.
