Close to stepping into the octagon for the last time in the main fight of UFC 318, Dustin poirier is about to enter a new phase of his life. The former interim lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) announced through social media this Monday (28) that he and his wife Jolie are expecting the birth of the couple's second child. The baby, whose sex has not been revealed, is expected to be born in December.

In addition to announcing the news, the couple also took advantage of the message to celebrate the fact that their daughter is becoming a big sister. Parker Noelle, who will turn nine in August, is credited by the fighter as the biggest inspiration in his life.

The fighter's history with his wife goes way back. The two met in middle school and got married in 2009, when Poirier was 20 years old. At the time of their marriage, the future interim lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) weighed over 90 kg and was far from an athletic life.
