Cory Sandhagen is tired of being a supporting actor and can't wait to take center stage in the UFC bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg). The American, who faces Deiveson Figueiredo No. UFC Des Moines, is ready to prove his worth and earn a spot in the fight for the belt.
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Sandhagen stated that he wants to defeat Figueiredo in a convincing manner to finally secure a title shot. He is unhappy with the fact that he has to fight in main events that are not worth the belt and believes that, with a good performance now, he could position himself as the next challenger in the division.

“I hope to go out there, kick his ass and then become the main event for the belt. That’s what I really want. I’m tired of being the main event for no title, so hopefully after this I can punch my ticket to fight for the belt,” Sandhagen said.
Cory Sandhagen has 17 wins and only five losses in his career, with 10 triumphs and four defeats in the UFC. Deiveson Figueiredo, former flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg), has 24 wins, 13 of them in the Ultimate, and only four losses in the cartel.
