Alexander Volkanovsky is experiencing a unique moment in the UFC. He is the first fighter over 35 years old to win the promotion's lighter weight belt, after winning Diego lopes No. UFC 314 by unanimous decision. The Australian had already been featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg) and defended the title five times. But every man has the right to dream a little more.

“Imagine this: I defend the belt (against Evloev), he (Topuria) becomes the (lightweight) champion and we have a rematch for my double championship. That would be the perfect world for me. Nothing could be bigger,” Volkanovski said in an interview with 'The Ariel Helwani Show'.

The entire sequence desired by the champion is not impossible. He only won the belt exactly because Ilia Topuria left the title vacant to move up and fight in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg) of the organization. There is much speculation that the move was only made so that the former featherweight champion could measure strength with Islam makhachev for the championship.

Evloev can't wait to fight for the UFC's most important adornment. The fourth in the ranking is only ahead of the Spaniard who is not in the division, the defeated Diego lopes e Max Holloway who fights in the event of Dustin poirier, in New Orleans, in July.
