Victim of a tough defeat in his last appearance in the octagon, José Aldo opened the game and detailed the feeling of anger he had after the duel against mario bautista No. UFC 307. Dominated on the grid by the anti-game implemented by the North American, the former champion admitted the frustration he had in not being able to impose a violent style against his rival.
“I was pissed off at myself. Not just about the fight, but because of the personality I have. I have to go in there and do more, so I will never take away the merit of my opponent, of anything, but I know myself, much stronger, much more skilled, much more everything than Mário and I stay like a retard there in the cage, accepting that”, declared Aldo at the media day of the fight. Following his speech, the Manaus native detailed how he felt after being prevented from achieving his second consecutive victory upon his return to the Ultimate.
“I felt bad. After the fight I couldn’t even see myself or talk about anything about fighting because of what I did in there. I know how pissed off the fans were, the UFC and everyone. I get paid very well to get in there and it doesn’t matter if it’s a win or a loss, but you have to do your job well. I stopped to think, I studied, I saw where I could improve, where I could go even further, so that’s what I tried to do for this fight (UFC 315)”, he concluded.
Towards another fight in the organization, José Aldo emerges as favorite for a duel against Aiemann Zahabi No. UFC 315. Scheduled to take place in Canada this Saturday (10), the Brazilian returns to perform in the country where he won his first title in his career with the company.
