After Daniel Cormier accused Alex Poatan of lying about a hacking attack to express his anger at the UFC's actions, Magomed Ankalaev took the opportunity to further irritate the Brazilian. On his social media, the Russian revealed that he had received an offer to fight at UFC 317 and gave his great rival an ultimatum.

“I was offered to fight Alex at International Fight Week, if the man doesn’t want to, let’s move on, I’m ready for anything. I challenge you,” Ankalaev said on his official X account.

With the Russian's statement, the pieces fit with the revelation made by Cormier last week. According to the commentator, the reason for Poatan allegedly using social media to attack the UFC is due to the fact that the Brazilian did not approve the request to perform on June 28, in order to enhance the event.
