Despite being a newcomer to professional boxing, Duda says he already trained in martial arts — especially jiu-jitsu — and maintained good physical discipline. For the fight, he assembled a strong team, with coaches Edson Xuxa, Davi Souza and trainer Ricardo Trigo, specialists in combat sports and physical conditioning. “The post-surgery period is really annoying, you have to stay away from training for about two months, so I kept putting it off. I sent a message to my doctor: 'I'm going to fight Popó, there's a big chance I'll break my nose, if I break my nose, how much time do I have to have the surgery?'. He said it would be five days, and he had already scheduled it for Monday, the fight is on a Saturday,” Duda told reporters. 'Who', in March of this year.
