Despite moving forward and looking for force in his blows, the fighter had his momentum stopped by MichaelMorales, who triumphed by technical knockout in the first round.
At 38 years old, the fighter was knocked out again in the UFC, but avoided commenting on retirement after Joe Martinez's official announcement. With this setback, the Brazilian has gone four fights in a row without having his arm raised and is moving away from the chance to dream again of a possible title fight in the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg).
