The American's manager defended in a recent interview that his client is the next to fight for the title. Justin is third in the ranking, after Arman Tsarukyan and Charles. The American is coming off a defeat to Max Holloway and victory over Raphael Fiziev.
"I Think Justin gaethje is the number 1 candidate. He should have fought against Dan Hooker, and Hooker didn't show up. He reported to the company, fought against Raphael Fiziev (do not UFC 313), and I think he should wait and fight the winner. That’s what I think he should do, but in reality, this game leaves people behind, and I don’t want this game to leave him behind. If it makes sense, Justin will fight. Justin is not afraid of anyone. He will fight anyone. It has to make sense for him,” Abdelaziz told 'MMA Junkie'.
About a possible duel with Tsarukyan or with Paddy Pimblett, the agent does not oppose the possibilities of struggles.
“Who cares? It doesn’t matter. If you’re a fighter and you think you’re the best in the world, you have to beat the best. You don’t choose.” Justin gaethje never chose an opponent, never chose an opponent. He will fight you anywhere, anytime. (…) If Ilia wins, Justin gaethje x Ilia Topuria It will be a successful fight,” said Abdelaziz.
