In his quest for title challengers, Magomed Ankalaev once again used his social media to stir things up in the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg). After clearly avoiding responding to Jailton Malhadinho 's request to fight him, the Russian accused Alex Poatan of no longer wanting an immediate rematch and sent a message to Dana White and his ally.
“ Alex Poatan doesn’t want Ank anymore. Let’s leave him alone because I don’t bully. Fake Ninja ( Jiri Prochazka ) said he has to go back to school because he can’t read. Dana White, Mick Maynard, give me some fish,” Ankalaev posted on his official X account.

In response to the statement, internet users, mostly Brazilian, joined forces to provoke the Russian and recall the challenge made by Malhadinho. Despite all the action, the current light heavyweight champion continues to express no interest in measuring his strength against the fighter from Bahia in the octagon.

Without commenting on any interest in facing Ankalaev next, Poatan continues to attend extracurricular events, indicating he is not worried about any provocation from his last opponent. The expectation was that the athletes would face each other in August, but that month's event has already been filled by Dricus Du Plessis vs. Khamzat Chimaev.
