It seems, Charles of the Bronx need to be aware of a force of Ilia Topuria that often goes unnoticed by fans and experts. Since his UFC debut, the Spaniard has always been synonymous with refined boxing and heavy hands. Now, with the former featherweight champion (65,7 kg) about to fight for his second belt, trainer Eric Albarracin — responsible for wrestling names such as Patrick Pitbull e Henry Cejudo — may have revealed a possible secret behind Topuria’s success.
In an interview with 'PVT', Albarracin praised the wrestling base of Ilia Topuria and highlighted that, although he does not use this skill often, the Spaniard knows how to apply it effectively. According to the coach, this characteristic is one of the factors that contribute to the power of the fighter's blows.

“I like Topuria. He doesn’t use it much, but he comes from wrestling, and when he needs to, he uses it. That’s why his strikes are so strong. He’s not afraid to defend takedowns, he goes forward and hunts,” explained Eric Albarracin.
After knock off Alexander Volkanovsky e Max Holloway in UFC featherweight title fights, Ilia Topuria left the position of champion of the category to seek the title in the lightweight category (up to 70,2 kg). The Spaniard will face Charles of the Bronx No. UFC 317, scheduled for June 28, during International Struggle Week.
